The only dis-advantages I know of is disturbing the equilibrium of the current system to make a half-hearted implementation of something called CCPM (whether it is actually CCPM, or is a poor, thin, & incomplete attempt has yet to be decided).

By disturbing what works somewhat, we cause loss of focus, confusion, loss of momentum, etc.

We are then forced to retreat when things get worse, instead of better.

We then have given CCPM a bad reputation, even though our attempt was based on anything but CCPM done correctly.
